Statement of Values
Introduction by Andrew Cobb, Chair of the Advisory Board.
As Chair of the Advisory Board I am bound by the Values of the organisation and see it as part of my role to provide advice to the Senior Leadership Team on how they can be upheld throughout the organisation.
These values are not just words. They are the principles that guide our daily decisions and actions as we strive to provide the best possible care and support for young people. We are dedicated to upholding these values and creating a nurturing and empowering environment where every young person can thrive.
Willow Tree Group Statement of Values
This Statement of Values sets the tone for how the organisation approaches the care and support of young individuals.
Willow Tree Group’s mission is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care and support to young people, empowering them to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. Our work is deeply rooted in a set of core values that guide our actions and define our organisational culture. These values reflect our commitment to the well-being and development of the young people we serve and they underpin everything we do.
- Empathy and Understanding: We approach every young person we serve with empathy, compassion and an understanding of their unique challenges and aspirations. We create a safe and non-judgmental space where young people feel heard and valued.
- Youth-Centered Approach: We prioritize the needs and voices of young people in all aspects of our work. We involve them in decision-making, respecting their autonomy and individuality, and supporting them in setting and achieving their goals.
- Inclusivity and Diversity: We celebrate and respect the diversity of the young people we serve. We are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable environment that values and embraces differences in culture, race, gender, sexuality, abilities and backgrounds.
- Safety and Well-Being: We are unwavering in our commitment to the safety and well-being of the young people in our care. We provide a secure and nurturing environment where their physical, emotional and mental health needs are met.
- Collaboration and Partnership: We recognise that supporting young people requires a collaborative effort. We work closely with families, carers, educational institutions and other community resources to ensure that young people have access to the holistic support they need.
- Lifelong Learning and Growth: We believe in the potential for growth and development in every young person. We provide opportunities for learning, skill development and personal growth, preparing them for successful transitions to adulthood.
- Accountability and Transparency: We hold ourselves accountable for the quality of care we provide. We are transparent in our actions and decisions and we continuously evaluate and improve our services based on feedback and best practice.
- Advocacy for Youth Rights: We are advocates for the rights of young people. We actively work to address systemic barriers and inequalities that affect their lives, striving for a more just and equitable society.
- Innovation and Adaptability: We embrace innovation and adapt to changing needs and circumstances. We seek creative solutions to challenges and continually explore new ways to better serve young people.
- Fun and Positivity: We believe in the importance of joy, fun, and positivity in the lives of young people. We create opportunities for them to experience happiness and build positive memories.
